America’s Bankers are keeping America’s Promise

in February 1999, Peoples Bancorp Inc. became involved with America's Promise, a not-for-profit program organized to benefit at-risk youth. America's Promise is endorsed by the American Banking Association. The spokesperson for America's Promise is General Colin Powell.

In 2006, the associates of Peoples Bancorp donated over 8,500 hours touching thousands of youth in communities served by our offices.

In conjunction with America's Promise Peoples Bank would encourage all parents and teachers to take advantage of viewing the free Money Talks Quarterly Newsletter offered by the American Bankers Association. This Quarterly Newsletter is offered to kids, tweens, teenagers, and young adults about money, entering the workforce and understanding credit. Click here to view the most recent version.

Peoples Bancorp's promise is to increase by at least 10% all activities which help kids. To keep our program (and our promise) strong, our team meets monthly to develop new programs or expand existing efforts toward our goal.
