Peoples Insurance Agency, Inc., a division of Peoples Bancorp Inc., is a full service agency that provides personal and business insurance solutions, that are partnered with the full spectrum of financial solutions offered through Peoples Bancorp. Peoples Insurance Agency, based out of Marietta, OH, began in 1994 as Northwest Territory Insurance Agencies, Inc., and became Peoples Insurance Agency, Inc. in 2000.
Peoples Insurance Agency includes The Putnam Agency, located in Ashland, KY, and Huntington, WV, and Barengo Insurance Agency, located in Marietta, OH.
In 2004, Peoples Insurance Agency acquired both the Putnam Agency (allowing us to serve the insurance needs of clients in eastern Kentucky and southwestern West Virginia), and the Barengo Insurance Agency (to provide broader coverage for clients in southeastern Ohio and the Parkersburg, WV area.)
With the expertise and products of the three agencies combined, we are able to offer comprehensive insurance solutions for all your personal and business needs. We are committed to serving clients and providing full-service solutions from the leading insurance providers in healthcare, life and property, and casualty coverage.
Today the Agencies have grown to over 60 employees located throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Licensed throughout the United States.
