Peoples Bank’s Professional Development Associate (PDA) program provides a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to immerse themselves in the financial industry and gain valuable real-world experience. Executive Mentorships
As part of the program, you will build an extensive network through our mentorship pairings with a Peoples Bank Executive Management Team member and a former PDA. They will serve as your mentors throughout the program, helping you to reach and achieve your professional goals. These mentors are easily accessible and will answer any questions you may have along the way. They will help guide you and act as a reference to you as you navigate through the early stages of your career.
Rotational Job Assignments
The program is structured around a series of rotations throughout the company, enabling you to gain exposure to different lines of business: Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Credit, Insurance, Trusts and Investments, Finance, Accounting and Reporting and Operations (including Marketing and Human Resources). The departments you work with will ask you to provide feedback to specific projects and processes, allowing you to provide value and add meaning in a real-world setting.
Management Training
Throughout the program, you will get hands-on management training in many areas of the bank’s operation. The program will prepare you to excel as a knowledgeable and well-rounded manager, from sales training to discipline-specific training in banking, investments, lending and insurance. Example training includes a week-long Relationships Sales Training focused on understanding the importance of building client and prospect relationships, leading to uncovering specific financial needs.

What is the timeline of the program?
The Professional Development Program is generally a 12 to 15-month program. The program is structured in a two-phase approach with foundational and specialized rotations.
Who can apply?
Anyone with a bachelor’s degree can apply. All majors are welcome.
Does the program offer travel opportunities?
Yes, you will travel throughout our footprint. This offers you the opportunity to see the diversity of our communities while interacting with all departments. We will provide accommodations and travel reimbursement when you do travel.

Peoples accepts applications and resumes anytime throughout the year. Professional Development Associates are usually hired in groups around December and May, but hiring may occur at additional times.
